STORYLINE

Jarred Merrill's crew has found some trouble in the South Atlantic Conference as of late, losing their last five games against SAC opponents. The Cobras have only secured four wins on the season, with one of their wins coming from a 9-point win over UVA Wise on December 4, 2021. Their most recent win was on January 22 of this year, taking down the Bears of Lenoir-Rhyne by a tight score of 62-60. Coker will look to come back from a tough loss over the Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters on Saturday, falling 79-65. Overall, the Cobras are shooting a 45.g-percent from the field and 32.6-percent from three-point range. The Cobras sit in the twelfth spot overall in teh conference as of Feb. 7, 2022.

ABOUT UVA WISE

The victory tour is not over yet, folks! The UVA Wise Cavaliers snagged their second conference win over the Anderson Trojans on Saturday, Feb. 5, by a score of 78-75. The Trojans had already taken a win over the Cavs this season in November in Anderson, S.C. by nine points. Bradley Dean had a career night against Anderson, dropping 24 points and hitting 12 shots from the charity stripe. On a win streak, the Cavaliers are hopeful that their momentum could push them through their third conference win in a row on Monday.
