ABOUT UVA WISE

Blake Mellinger's team was not able to take Lenoir-Rhyne down in their rematch on Wednesday, falling to the Bears 85-70. The Cavaliers were right in tune with the Bears until halfway through the second half, when Lenoir-Rhyne tallied a trio of three-pointers from Nas Tyson and Marcus Metcalf to take a game-changing 11 point lead. The Cavs couldn't crawl their way back, despite hitting over 45-percent from the field and from three-point range.

The last time Wingate and UVA Wise played each other, leading-Makai Vassell dropped 16 points and grabbed four rebounds. Tyler Lloyd followed, snagging 13 points.
