TIP-OFF TIDBITS
Jeremy Currier and the Young Harris Mountain Lions enter their second week as a ranked squad in the D2SIDA Southeast Region Poll. On Monday, Nov. 21, the Mountain Lions entered in the ten-spot after snagging their first four wins of the season (Chowan, Emmanuel, North Greenville, Erskine). The following week, Young Harris jumped to the seven-spot after an impressive 14-point win against South Atlantic Conference competitor Mars Hill.

PLAYERS TO WATCH
Nate Dunlop:
The sophomore forward leads Young Harris with 16.2 points per game (ranked eighth in the Peach Belt Conference) and leads in three-point field goal percentage (.516)

Karl Chavis: The sophomore forward averages 6.8 rebounds per game (ranked seventh in the Peach Belt Conference) and puts up 13 points per game

Josh Petteno: The junior guard has only missed two foul shots thus far in the season, and put up 26 points in the team's season opener against Chowan.
 

UVA WISE NEWS & NOTES
The UVA Wise Cavaliers' 6-0 start in the best start in program history, and surpasses their best start in the program's Division II era. Despite the team's shaky start against the Warren Wilson Owls, Cavalier Bradley Dean racked up an impressive 34 points while Luke Lawson swatted away four blocks and grabbed 10 rebounds to hoist his squad to a 94-88 victory.

Going into Sunday's matchup, Dean has whipped up a monumental season start.The sophomore leads the Cavs with 20.5 points per game and sits atop the SAC leaderboard in scoring. As of Nov. 27, Dean ranks third in the nation (Division II) in three point field-goal percentage (.567).
 

DID YOU KNOW?
This will be the first meeting between the Mountain Lions and the Cavaliers. Both squads are undefeated going into Sunday's contest.
