GREENEVILLE - - Freshman Mallory Trimble scored twice, scooped up a game-high four groundballs and caused three turnovers as UVA Wise evened its lacrosse record with a 13-7 triumph at Tusculum Monday.

UVA Wise (5-5, 5-3 SAC) scored the first six goals of the game and eight of the first nine to take command of the game and never look back.

Sophomore Sydney Trask scored four of her game-high five goals while senior Jesse French dished out four of her five assists during the span.

The fast start buried Tusculum (1-5, 0-5 SAC) who dropped their fifth consecutive contest.

The Cavaliers forced 26 Pioneers while limiting the hosts to a 14-for-23 showing in clear attempts.

Thanks to the play of Trimble, Meghan Dennehy's squad enjoyed a 24-to-17 advantage in groundballs as UVA Wise scored its third consecutive win over Tusculum.

Katie Allen added three goals and Ellie Earnshaw had a pair of goals and caused turnovers for the Cavs.

Next up, Lenoir-Rhyne visits Smith Stadium for a pivotal game in the SAC standings Wednesday. The winner of the contest will likely garner a home game in the upcoming conference tournament.
