WISE - - Anderson swept a South Atlantic Conference softball doubleheader from UVA Wise at Cavalier Field Thursday. The Trojans claimed game one 5-2 before scoring a 12-2 five-inning win in the night cap.

In game one, Anderson (16-4, 4-0 SAC) used a complete game two hitter from pitcher Kayla Pepper to score the win. The only two hits the hurler surrendered were solo homers by UVA Wise (9-13, 1-3 SAC) junior Kaylee Jones.

The Trojans received a three-hit game from leadoff hitter Meghan Majeski and two hit games from Morgan Charter, Mattie Hamilton, Mattison Cantrell, Sydney Belcher, Gracie Williams and Hope Gullatt as the visitors lined 15 hits.

Game two saw Anderson strike for seven runs over the first two innings en route to the 12-2 triumph.

UVA Wise received an RBI double from Kaylee Jones and run-scoring single from Alexis miles in the contest.

Miles finished the game 2-for-3 while senior Nikki Smith added a base hit, a run scored and a walk.
