KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - -The Cavaliers lost their second match of the spring on Sunday morning, falling 7-0 to the Carson-Newman Eagles.
Freshman Luke Jarnagin and junior Daniel Laughlin were the only Cavaliers (0-6) to win a game in singles play, as Jarnagin lost 6-0, 6-1 in the No. 3 position and Laughlin fell 6-1, 6-0 at the No. 5 position. In doubles play, sophomore Coleton Burke and freshman Dominic Hoffman were defeated by the Eagles (2-1) 6-1 at the No. 1 position. Jarnagin and junior John Hamilton fell 6-0 in the No. 2 spot, while Laughlin and senior Jakub Blach also lost 6-0 at the No. 3 position.
The Cavaliers will return to action on Feb. 23 in their first home match of 2019 when they host Georgetown College at 2 p.m.
