Box Score CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A quick start for Charleston helped the Golden Eagles earn a 61-46 win over UVa-Wise on Wednesday night at the Wehrle Innovation Center. 

The Golden Eagles (12-15, 8-13) built a 19-10 lead in the first quarter to take command of the game. UVa-Wise (6-20, 5-16) would battle back and tie the game at 25-25 but could never find the lead. 

Abby Watson paced UC with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Brookln Pannell added 19 points in the win. 

Cynita Webb contributed 12 points for the Cavs.  The loss eliminates UVa-Wise from MEC Tournament contention. The team wraps up the season Saturday at Concord in a 2 p.m. tip.
