Complete Game Notes
Losers of five of their last six games, Urbana University enters Thursday's game at the Prior Center in need of a win to help ensure a bye in the Mountain East Conference Tournament. Led by Stefanie Davis' 17.2 points per game, the Blue Knights have scored at least 60 points in all but three games this season. Davis has been as consistent as any player in the league having reached double figure scoring in all but two games this season. Earlier this season, Urbana used a 32-point fourth quarter to upended UVa-Wise 71-63. Sylvia Hudson was a thorn in the Cavaliers' side as the post player netted 22 points on 9-of-14 shooting while adding nine rebounds. Urbana will be attempting to win its first game at UVa-Wise Nov. 23, 2013 when the Blue Knights scored a 77-66 win.
Winners of two of their last three games, UVa-Wise will try to keep its MEC Tournament hopes alive when Urbana University visits the Prior Center Thursday. Freshman Nokomis Williams led the block party with five blocks while redshirt freshman Kalee Johnson blocked four shots. Johnson added 10 points while freshman Bianca Lockamy registered a team-high 15 points. UVa-Wise was also proficient from the free throw line making 11-of-13 attempts. The Cavs also dominated the glass by winning the battle of the boards 56-30. In the win, six players had at least five rebounds, led by Lockamy's nine. UVa-Wise will wrap up the home portion of its schedule Saturday when Notre Dame College visits the Prior Center for Basketball Homecoming 2018.
