Storylines – vs West Chester
West Chester enters the season picked third in the PSAC East Preseason Coaches' Poll and is receiving votes in the D2SIDA Preseason Atlantic Region Poll. The Golden Rams posted 23 wins last year en route to their third NCAA Tournament appearance in the last four seasons. The team's top four leading scorers from last season were lost to graduation, leaving Katherine Fisher as West Chester's top returner from a year ago. Fisher started all 29 games for the Golden Rams and averaged 8.7 points and 4.5 rebounds per game while making 47.9 percent of her field goal attempts. A player to watch will be Madison Torresin who missed all of last season due to injury. As a junior, she earned Second Team All PSAC East accolades after posting 12.3 points and 8.3 rebounds a contest.

Jamie Cluesman will make her coaching debut this weekend at the Carol Eckman Classic after spending the last four seasons as an assistant at Shepherd University. Cluesman's team returns four starters and six seniors from last year's club but, the team was picked 12th in the MEC Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Cavaliers will rely on their experience inside, notably junior
Cynita Webb who led the team with 11.3 points and 9.5 rebounds per game last season. The 5-foot-11 Webb, will be joined inside by 5-foot-10 senior
