Storylines – vs King
Off to a 1-1 start, King University has appeared in three consecutive Conference Carolina Tournament championship games. Led by senior 5-foot-9 senior Kristen Cupples who made 71 3-pointers last season and registered double figure scoring 19 times and 20 points at least three times as a junior. The Tornado also have an imposing figure inside by way of 6-foot-4 junior Kori West. West averaged 12.5 points, 10.6 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game as a sophomore as she ranked 14th nationally in rebounds. In its two games, King has struggled to put the ball in the basket. The Tornado are making just 34.9 percent of its field goal attempts and 23.6 percent of its 3-point field goal attempts.
