WISE - - No. 11 Glenville State's pursuit of a perfect Mountain East Conference regular season continued Saturday as the Pioneers rolled to a 108-69 women's basketball victory over UVa-Wise at the Prior Center.
Glenville State (19-1, 14-0 MEC) opened the game on a 20-4 scoring spurt and never looked back as the Pioneers rolled to their 18th straight win.
UVa-Wise (3-16, 2-12 MEC) turned the ball over 31 times in the loss and made just 3-of-17 3-point attempts.
Paris McLeod led a group of five Glenville State players in double-figure scoring with 24 points while Courtney Davis turned in a double-double with 14 points and 15 rebounds. Bhrea Griffin also had a double-double off the bench as she dished out 10 assists to go with her 13 points.
Cynita Webb posted a double-double for UVa-Wise as the sophomore scored 20 points and grabbed 13 rebounds.
The Cavs will return to action Thursday when the team visits West Liberty University for a league contest.
