Later in the inning, the Lady Pioneers' first baseman Mackenzie Smith smacked a two-run bomb down the left field line to give Glenville State a 6-1 lead.
The Cavs were held scoreless for the rest of the game and Glenville State tacked on two more runs in the top of the sixth when Smith hit her second home run of the day, another two-run shot hit well over the outfield fence.

Holding the Cavs scoreless in game two, the Lady Pioneers needed just five innings to put up 10 runs on 14 hits. An Ally Brown single to right field brought in Damone in the top of the second to give Glenville State an early 1-0 lead. Another RBI single, this time by Damone up the middle, scored Casey Sheaffer in the visiting portion of the third to make it a 2-0 game.
Three more runs were scored by the Lady Pioneers in the top of the fourth. A single to right field by Miranda Cropp followed by an error on the play, allowed Ramsey to score from third and McKenzie Edmonds to reach home off the error for an unearned run. Cropp was then brought home from third for another unearned run when Smith singled to right field.
Leading 5-0 heading into the fifth, Glenville State got five runs in the inning to increase its advantage to 10-0. Brown doubled to left field for two RBI, scoring Damone and Weaver, before Brown scored an unearned run following an Edmonds single and Cavalier throwing error. The final two runs of the day and the game came on a Payne sacrifice fly to left field with Ramsey scoring and a Smith RBI single to center field that brought in Edmonds.
Trying to extend the game, UVa-Wise was able to put runners on in the bottom of the fifth but the Cavs left two stranded in the corners to end the game.
