Storylines – West Liberty University game
West Liberty is coming off of a 99-71 victory over Concord University entering Saturday's game against  UVa-Wise.  In that game, the Hilltoppers had two players finish in double figures. West Liberty was led by Zac Grossenbacher who finished with a game-high 19 points and a team-high 10 rebounds. Seger Bonifant assisted Grossenbacher finishing with16 points., while Devin Hoehn, Joe Lococo and Brady Arnold each added nine points.  The Hilltoppers shot 54.3 percent from the floor and 46.4 percent from beyond the arc against Mountain Lions.  On the season, Seger Bonifant is scoring 25.1 points per game and pulling down 4.3 rebounds a game, while CJ Hester is finishing with 15.5  points and 8.6 rebounds per game.   West Liberty is scoring a league-high104.4 points per game.

About UVA-Wise
UVa-Wise will look to halt a 20-game losing skid when the team plays West Liberty on Saturday.  The Cavaliers are also winless in Mountain East Conference, having been outscored by MEC competition by nearly 22 points a game.  Most recently, Wheeling Jesuit rolled to an 108-78 victory over UVa-Wise at the McDonough Center.  In the loss, the Cavaliers shot 42.4 percent from the floor and went 16-36 from beyond the arc. On the season, the Cavs are shooting 35.3 percent from the field and 31.8 percent from beyond the 3-point line.  By contrast, opponents are making 50.1 percent of their shot attempts and 38.7 percent of 3-point attempts against the UVa-Wise defense.  A bright spot has been the play of freshman Philip Owens II who is scoring a team-high 13.7 points per game.
