Box Score Wheeling, W.Va. – Wheeling Jesuit had six players finish in double figures en route to a 108-78 victory over UVa-Wise on Thursday at the McDonough Center.
Wheeling Jesuit (12-8, 8-7 MEC) was led by Pat Moseh. The freshman finished with a game-high 22 points, two assists and three steals. Justin Fritts finished with 14 points and five rebounds, while both Chase Lawson and Haywood Highsmith added 12 points each from off the bench. Junior Eric Siefert finished with 11 points, five assists and four steals, while Kyle Ritz added a game-high 11 rebounds and 10 points.
The Cardinals shot 58 percent from the floor, 51.9 percent from behind the arc and hit on 87.5 percent from the line. Wheeling Jesuit out-rebounded UVa-Wise 43-27.
The Cavaliers had five players finish in double figures with Matt Day finishing with a team-high 14 points. Philip Owens II and Oliver Thompson both added 12 points; while Brian Sydnor finished will 11 points and Charles George added 10 points.
UVa-Wise will return to action on Saturday against West Liberty at 4 on ESPN3.
