Storylines – Wheeling Jesuit gameThursday's game between UVa-Wise and Wheeling Jesuit is a pivotal game for both squads as the teams head down the home stretch of the Mountain East Conference season. Wheeling Jesuit with a 11-7 record sits in sixth place in the Mountian East Conference. Meanwhile, UVa-Wise is still in eighth place, the final team to host an opening round tournament contest. Leading in points for the Lady Cardinal is Jaila Bryant who is scoring a team-high 15.8 points per game. Bryant and Kylie Frizell combined had a total of 27 points in the last meeting against the Cavaliers. Bryant found herself in heavy foul trouble, only playing 25 minutes. Despite this, she managed to score a team-high 14 points.
About UVa-Wiseblair Harding led UVa-Wise in scoring for the second game in a row as the Cavaliers came out on top aganist the Notre Dame Falcons 65-57. Harding followed up her 29 point performance againist Urbana by scoring game-high 18 points in the win aganist Norte Dame.
Kayla Carey added 15 points while
Kehana Grayer added 12 points for the win. Harding posted a double-double the last time her team faced Wheeling Jesuit as she tallied 12 points and corralled 12 boards.
