Storylines –Shepherd GameWith two games left to play, Shepherd sits one game out of first place and in a tie for second place in the Mountain East Conference standings. The Rams enter winners of five of their last six games, including a 66-52 win over Concord University on Saturday. Shepherd has used a balanced scoring attack to surge to the upper tier of the MEC. The Rams have five players averaging at least nine points a contest. Coach Jenna Eckleberry's team ranks second in the league in fewest turnovers at 14.6 per game.

Kristin Kunzman's team will have to win one of its final two games. The regular season finale will be on Saturday when Concord University visits the Prior Center on Saturday. UVa-Wise enters the game coming off back-to-back losses. Most recently, Fairmont State opened the game on a 15-2 run and never trailed en route to a 84-69 victory. In its first meeting against Shepherd, UVa-Wise hit on just 33.3 percent of its attempts from the field while making only 4-18 3-point attempts in suffering a home defeat.
