Storylines – Charleston Game
At 19-5 overall and 14-4 in the Mountain East Conference, Charleston enters the home stretch of the regular season in a first place tie with Shepherd.  Most recently, the Golden Eagles overcame a six-point halftime deficit to claim a 71-68 win at Concord.  Nichole Perry led the charge on offense as she scored 20 points and dished out five assists.  In its first meeting against UVa-Wise, Perry connected on 11-14 free throws to score 14 points, she finished with five assists in that game as well.  The Cavaliers finished the game with just five players as Kayla Carey, Kehanna Grayer, and Taylor Sandidge all fouled out in the overtime thriller.  
About UVa-Wise
Junior guard Blair Harding is doing all she can to ensure UVa-Wise has a home game in the opening round of the MEC Tournament.  The Baltimore native has scored 120 points in her last five games while adding 43 rebounds.  Harding's 17.4 points per game average ranks fifth in the league while her 52 made 3-pointers in MEC play is second best.  Saturday's game at Charleston will start a stretch of three of four away from the Prior Center to close the regular season.  Entering the weekend, UVa-Wise has a two-game lead on Concord for eighth place in the league standings, meaning the Cavs would be the final team to host in the opening round of the tournament. The team is two games behind seventh place Notre Dame College but, if the team can tie the Falcons they would own the tiebreaker.  The Cavs completed a season sweep of the Falcons with a 65-57 win on February 2.
