Storylines – University of Charleston game
University of Charleston is coming off of a 68-63 loss to Concord University entering Saturday's game against UVa-Wise. In that game, the Golden Eagles had three players finish in double figures. Charleston was led by Octavius Green who finished with a team-high 15 points and five rebounds. Jevonte Hughes assisted Green finishing with13 points and nine rebounds, while Chris Evans added 10 points. The Golden Eagles shot 46.9 percent from the floor and 33.3 percent from beyond the arc against the Mountain Lions. On the season, Chris Evans is scoring 12.3 points per game and pulling down 2.7 rebounds a game, while Jevonte Hughes is finishing with 11.8 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. Charleston is scoring 74.5 points per game, while allowing 66.3 from opponents.

UVa-Wise will try to end its 22 game losing streak when they play the University of Charleston on Saturday. The Cavaliers remain winless in the Mountain East Conference, having been outscored by Mountain East Confernce competition by nearly 20 points a game. Most recently against West Virginia State,

Following the game, UVa-Wise will travel to Sheperdstown, West Virginia for the teams next to last game on the road against Shepherd University.
