Storylines – Notre Dame College gameNotre Dame is coming off of an 85-72 loss to Concord University entering Monday's game against UVa-Wise. In that game, the Falcons had four players finish in double figures. Notre Dame was led by Tyree Gaiter who had a game-high 24 points and three rebounds. Lawrence DeArmond assisted Gaiter finishing with16 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, two blocks and two steals, while Will Vorhees added 16 points and seven rebounds. On the season, Lawrence and Gaiter both are scoring 20.7 points per game. Lawrence is also pulling down 7.7 rebounds a game, while Gaiter is finishing with five assists and 2.5 steals per game. The Falcons are scoring 81.6 points per game and grabbing 37.3 rebounds per game.
About UVA-WiseUVa-Wise will look to halt an 18-game losing skid when the team plays Notre Dame College on Monday. The Cavaliers are also winless in Mountain East Conference, having been outscored by MEC competition by nearly 22 points a game. Most recently, Urbana University rolled to a 76-64 victory over UVa-Wise at the Prior Center. In the loss, the Cavaliers shot 39.2 percent from the floor and were out-rebounded 41-34 by the Blue Knights. On the season, the Cavs are shooting 34.8 percent from the field and 30.5 percent from beyond the 3-point line.
