STORYLINES – SHEPHERD UNIVERSITY GAMEThe Rams enter the contest 9-4 overall and 4-3 in the Mountain East Conference. Shepherd is led by senior Morgan McDonald who is scoring 18.4 points per game and grabbing 6.6 rebounds per game. Most recently, the Rams came up a little short in a 102-83 loss to West Liberty University on Thursday. In that contest, West Liberty was able to hold McDonald to seven points and three rebounds. Steffen Davis led the way for the Rams, he went two for two from the free throw line and connected on two 3-pointers to score a team-high 18 points while Skyler Roman added 16 points.Freshman Gavin McTavish also assisted the pair with seven points and six rebounds. As a team, Shepherd is making 7.2 3-pointers a game and grabbing 34.4 rebounds per game. Overall, the Rams are scoring 82.2 points a night while allowing 80.2 points.
ABOUT UVA-WISEUVa-Wise is still looking for its first Mountain East Conference victory and is also looking to halt an eleven game losing streak. Freshman

Brian Sydnor is grabbing 7.9 rebounds a contest. The Rams defeated the Cavaliers in both meetings last year. At home, UVa-Wise dropped a 77-69 loss against Shepherd, as the Cavaliers made 34.8 percent of their shot attempts from the floor and received a game-high 26 points from
Matt Day.
Javon Moore finished with 22 points and 10 rebounds, while
Deon Boyce added 13 points and 16 rebounds for UVa-Wise. On the road, the Rams defeated the Cavaliers 88-76. The Cavaliers were led by Moore. The junior finished with a team-high 18 points, eight rebounds, four assists and two steals. Boyce finished with 16 points and team-high 12 rebounds. The Cavaliers shot 42.9 percent from the field in defeat.
