Storylines – West Liberty GameWest Liberty enters the game one game out of first place in the Moutnain East Conference and coming off its finest peformance of the season. On Saturday, the Hilltoppers rolled to a 90-65 win at Concord behind a 30-point scoring performance by Liz Flowers. West Liberty shot 49.2 percent from the floor in the win while making 12 shots from beyond the three-point line. The 'Toppers were the preseason favorite to win the MEC and were ranked ninth in nationally in the preseason. Flowers had led the way on offense for West Liberty, as her 24.3 points per game leads the MEC.

Kristin Kunzman's squad has had difficulty putting the ball in the basket as of late. Over its last three games, UVa-Wise is scoring 46.7 points per game. The Cavaliers will have a prime opportunity to get out of that funk against the 'Toppers as West Liberty ranks 11 out of 12 MEC teams in scoring defense having allowed 77.5 points per game. The contest will pit the most prolific 3-point shooting team in the league against one of the the top 3-point shooting defense. West Liberty has already made 108 3-pointers and is shooting at a 36.1 percent clip from beyond the arc. UVa-Wise has allowed opponents to make 50 shots from distance thus far, and ranks second in the league in 3-point field goal percentage defense at 26.6 percent.
