WISE, Va. - The second half battle was not enough for UVa-Wise Saturday in a 76-64 loss to Urbana University at the Prior Center.

UVa-Wise (1-18, 0-14 MEC) was led by freshman Philip Owens II. Owens finished with a game-high 21 points, three assists and one steal. Matt Day assisted Owens with 15 points, a game-high 13 rebounds, three blocks, two assists and one steal.

Urbana (5-15, 2-12 MEC) had four players finish in double figures. Rodney Clark Jr. finished with a team-high 14 points, Carlas Jackson added 12 points, while Doug Hilson finished with 10 points.  Myles Busby added 10 points, 11 rebounds, six assists, two blocks and one steal.

The Blue Knights scored 19 points off of Cavalier turnovers. The Blue Knights out-rebounded UVa-Wise 41-34.

The Cavaliers will return to action on Monday at 6 against Notre Dame College at the Prior Center.
