UVa-Wise Women Look for Season Sweep of Urbana Saturday

Storylines – Urbana Game
Urbana University enters Saturday's game at UVa-Wise a league worst 1-18 overall and 1-12 in Mountain East Conference play.  The Blue Knights have lost 12 consecutive games since picking up their only win of the season, a 99-94 overtime victory against West Liberty on December 6.  More recently, Urbana has had difficulty keeping the game within reach; the Blue Knights have lost thier last three games by an average of 13 points per game.  The one calling card for coach Haley Ducey's squad has been the team's ability to make free throws.  Entering Saturday, Urbana ranks second in the MEC in free throw percentage at 76.9.  Individually, three Blue Knights are averaging double figures on the season, led by Kate Francisco's 13.1 points per game.
About UVa-Wise
UVa-Wise will look to recover from one of its poorest shooting performances of the season.  Thursday, the Cavaliers made 29 percent of their shot attempts from the field while making just four of 20 3-point attempts, and 10 of 21 free throw attempts.  The lone Cav that had a strong shooting night was freshman Allison Ball.  The Newport, Tenn. native has now recorded a new career-high in back-to-back contests.  She finished Thursday's game five of seven from the field and a perfect 2-2 from the foul line to net 13 points.  This will be the first meeting between the two schools since UVa-Wise limited Urbana to 23.9 percent shooting in a 51-39 win on November 22.
