Box Score WISE, Va. – Wheeling Jesuit shot 47.8 percent from the floor and limited UVa-Wise to 37 percent shooting as they defeated the Cavaliers 76-63 on Saturday at the Prior Center.
The Cardinals (6-3, 2-2 MEC) had four players finish in double figures. Pat Moseh finished with a game-high 26 points, Justin Fritts added 16 points, and Chase Lawson finished with 11 points, while the Cavaliers limited Cardinals' leading scorer Eric Siefert to 10 points. Wheeling Jesuit out rebounded UVa-Wise 40-30 in the victory.
UVa-Wise (1-9, 0-5 MEC) had three players score in double figures in the loss. Philip Owens II led the way for the Cavaliers with 20 points, while Matt Day added 18 points and Oliver Thompson finished with 14 points. As a team, the Cavaliers went 20-25 from the free throw line to hit on 80 percent and make nine 3-pointers in defeat.
The Cavaliers will return to action on Monday, January 5 at the Prior Center against ranked #1 West Liberty.
