Game Day Central -- Cavalier Women Visit Bobcats on Saturday

STORYLINES – WEST VIRGINIA WESLEYAN GAME
West Virginia Wesleyan has just one win in its first 14 games thus far. The Bobcats lone win came on January 17 against Urbana. Most recently, coach Michael Bari's squad fell 83-77 to defending Mountain East Conference Champion Glenville State. Wesleyan ranks near the bottom of the league in most statistical categories. One bright spot for the Bobcats has been Adrian Cunningham who is scoring 14.6 points per game. Cunningham's point total ranks ninth in the MEC while teammate Mari Stewart is grabbing 8.1 rebounds a night to rank sixth in the conference.
ABOUT UVA-WISE
UVa-Wise will look to halt a four-game losing streak and score a season sweep over West Virginia Wesleyan when the team visits Buchannon, W.Va. on Saturday. Most recently, the Cavaliers suffered a 57-40 setback at the hands of Concord University on Thursday. In that contest, coach Kristin Kunzman's team made just 20 percent of its shots in the first half as the team fell behind 33-17 at intermission. For the game, UVa-Wise made just 25 percent of its attempts, while having just a 2-15 showing from beyond the arc. Taylor Sandidge led the offensive attack with 13 points while teammate Kayla Carey added 10 points and nine rebounds. Following the game, UVa-Wise will return back to the Prior Center for a three-game home stand that kicks off Thursday against Glenville State College.
