Box Score ATHENS, W.Va. - -  Host Concord University limited UVa-Wise to 25 percent shooting while out-rebounding the visitors 51-34 en route to a 57-40 Mountain East Conference win Thursday night.
Concord (5-11, 5-6 MEC) opened the game on a 22-2 run over the opening 10 minutes as the team went to intermission leading 33-17.  In the first 20 minutes, the Cavaliers made just five shots from the field while the Mountain Lions made four 3-pointers and shot 50 percent from beyond the arc.
UVa-Wise (5-12, 4-7 MEC) would cut the lead to 14 points with 17:44 to play on a bucket by Allison Ball. It would be as close as the Cavaliers would get as the Mountain Lions responded with a 9-0 run to run the lead to 25 with 12:22 to play.
Kylie Molise led all players with 15 points in the win while teammate Rachel Atrip netted 12 points and grabbed 14 boards.
UVa-Wise was led by Taylor Sandidge who tallied 13 points and Kayla Carey who added 10 points and nine rebounds.
The Cavs will return to play on Saturday when the team visits West Virginia Wesleyan for a 2 pm tip.
