Cavalier Women Host Cardinals on Saturday

Storylines – Wheeling Jesuit Game
Wheeling Jesuit enters one game over the .500 mark at 4-3 but stands 1-2 in MEC play.  Jaila Bryant enters as the leading scorer for Wheeling Jesuit as she averages 15.2 points a contest. The guard has not played since December 16th, having missed the Cardinals' 84-61 win over Ohio Valley on December 20.  As a team, Wheeling Jesuit has three players averaging double figures and leads the league in shooting percentage at 48.8 percent. One area Wheeling Jesuit has struggled in is rebounding, the Cardinals enter last in the league in offensive rebounding at 10 per game while ranking 11th of 12 schools in defensive rebounding at 25 per contest.
About UVa-Wise
The non-conference portion of UVa-Wise's schedule is now complete and coach Kristin Kunzman may view that as a positive.  The Cavaliers won just one of six out of league games and enter Saturday's game on a two-game losing streak.  Luckily, Saturday's opponent is a Mountain East Conference foe.  UVa-Wise is 3-1 in league games and is averaging five more points per game while shooting the ball almost 20 percentage points higher in MEC play.  This will be only the second conference home game for the Cavaliers who posted a 70-60 win over West Virginia Wesleyan in the first MEC home contest. Blair Harding has been the catalyst for the UVa-Wise offense, the junior is scoring a team-high 18 points per game while having made a team-best 26 3-pointers.  The game starts a streak of five of six games at the Prior Center for the Cavs.  The team will be back in action at home on Monday when preseason favorite West Liberty comes to Wise.
