STORY LINES
  • UVa-Wise will look to snap a four-game losing streak when West Liberty visits the Prior Center on Saturday.
  • Senior Reynesha Archer has started consecutive games for the first time this season and has posted back-to-back 23 point performances. Archer now leads the Cavaliers in scoring at 11.7 points per game.
  • Junior Katie Jo Lester has made at least one 3-pointer in 19 of the 20 games UVa-Wise has played this season.
  • The Cavaliers continue to rank near the top of the Mountain East Conference in scoring defense.  UVa-Wise is ranked third in scoring defense as opponents are scoring 68.2 points per game.
  • The Hilltoppers enter the game on a season-best six game winning streak.  Overall, the Hilltoppers have won eight of nine, including an 80-61 win over Concord on Thursday.
  • UVa-Wise has three players in the top ten of the MEC in minutes played.  Makenzie Cluesman, third, Taylor Sandidge, sixth, and Katie Jo Lester, seventh are all top ten in minutes played.
  • West Liberty leads the MEC in rebounding margin at +6.9 per game.  In the first meeting against UVa-Wise, West Liberty out-rebounded the Cavaliers 53-31.
