STORY LINES
  • After playing six of its last eight games on the road, UVa-Wise will finish the season with five of its final seven games at the Prior Center.
  • Senior Reynesha Archer received her first start of the season at Notre Dame College.  The Manchester, Conn. native did not dissapoint as she turned in a 23 point-five rebound performance.  On the season, Archer ranks second on the team in scoring average at 11.1 points per game.
  • Makenzie Cluesman's streak of five consecutive double-figure scoring games came to an end at Notre Dame College.  On the season, Cluesman leads the team in scoring average at 11.8 points per game.
  • The Cavaliers continue to rank near the top of the Mountain East Conference in scoring defense.  UVa-Wise is ranked third in scoring defense as opponents are scoring 67.9 points per game.
  • Thursday's game will pit the league's top-shooting 3-point team in Wheeling Jesuit and the top-defensive team from the 3-point line.  The Cardinals are shooting 38.9 percent from distance while opponents are hitting just 29.7 percent from beyond the 3-point line.
  • UVa-Wise has three players in the top ten of the MEC in minutes played.  Makenzie Cluesman, third, Taylor Sandidge, sixth, and Katie Jo Lester, seventh are all top ten in minutes played.
