Storylines – The Notre Dame GameMonday's game will be a rematch of last year's opening round game of the Mountain East Conference Tournament. Both teams enter 1-0 in league play after posting victories on Saturday. The Falcons secured a 78-61 victory over Concord as Kelsey Miller turned in 11 points and 14 rebounds. Martha Nagbe scored 17 points and grabbed seven boards while Lauren Langerderfer netted a game-high 18 points.
About UVa-WiseUVa-Wise limited Urbana to 39 points and 11 made field goals in scoring a 51-39 win in their Mountain East Conference opener.
Taylor Sandidge posted her third consecutive double-figure scoring game as she led all players with 13 points.
Blair Harding netted 10 points while
Kayla Carey limited Kate Fransisco to four points on 1-14 shooting. Fransisco entered the game as the Blue Knights' leading scorer. The game will be the fourth of five on the road to start the season for UVa-Wise. Saturday's victory was the first road victory for UVa-Wise since defeating Notre Dame on the road in the MEC Tournament, a year ago. Through three games, the Cavs have limited opponents to 28.9 percent shooting from beyond the arc. Notre Dame has made 36.4 percent of its shots from beyond the arc in the early part of the 2014-15 campaign. Following the game, UVa-Wise will jump back in to non-conference play with a trip to the University of Pikeville on Saturday.
