STORY LINES

Deon Boyce turned in his sixth straight double-double and eighth of the year with his 23-point 19-rebound performance against #1 West Liberty University.
Junior Javon Moore is starting to get on a run, over the last two games, Moore has scored 36 points, grabbed 20 boards and collected six steals.
Thursday's game will be the Cavaliers only home game between December 17th and January 23rd.
On the last road trip, UVa-Wise shot 48 free throws in two contests, 35 of the attempts came in a victory at Wheeling Jesuit University.
The Cavaliers should enjoy an advantage on the glass against the Yellow Jackets. UVa-Wise ranks second in the MEC in rebounding margin at + 6.2 while West Virginia State ranks 11th at - 6.2.
Thursday's game will feature two teams who rank near the bottom of the league in field goal percentage. West Virginia State ranks 10th at 44.6 percent while UVa-Wise is 11th at 40.1 percent.
The Yellow Jackets' Anton Hutchins ranks fourth in the league at 19.8 points per game. The senior has scored in double-figures in ever game he has played this season.
After starting the season 1-4, West Virginia State has won three of its last four games, including its first league win, an 82-64 win over West Virginia Wesleyan on Monday.
