UVa-Wise Men Head to Glenville in Search of Season Series Split

STORY LINES
  • UVa-Wise will look to avenge a 78-76 loss to Glenville State at the Prior Center on December 7 when the team visits Glenville, W.Va. on Thursday.
  • Senior Deon Boyce had his string of 11 consecutive double-double performances snapped in Saturday's 67-56 loss to West Virginia Wesleyan College.
  • The Cavaliers and Pioneers both rank in the top four of the Mountain East Conference in rebounding margin.  UVa-Wise is second at +6.5 while Glenville State is fourth at +0.8.
  • Deon Boyce has led UVa-Wise in rebounding in 14 of the team's 16 games this year.  Overall, Boyce is averaging 14.1 rebounds per game to lead the MEC.
  • Javon Moore has handed out four or more assists seven times this season.  UVa-Wise is 5-2 in games in which Moore finishes with four or more assists.
  • The Cavaliers made a season-high 11 3-pointers in the first meeting against the Pioneers.  Tyler Maggard came off the bench to hit five 3-pointers en route to a season-high 15 points.
  • Glenville State's Lamar Mallory leads the MEC in scoring at 22 points per game.  Mallory also leads the conference in field goal percentage, having made an incredible 72.2 percent of his shots this season.  In the first meeting, Mallory scored 27 points and grabbed 10 rebounds on 12 of 17 shooting.
