WISE - - West Virginia Wesleyan limited UVa-Wise to just 32.1 percent shooting en route to a 67-56 Mountain East Conference win at the Prior Center on Saturday. The win completed a season sweep of the series for the Bobcats as the visitors hit 17 of 18 foul shots while also shooting 50 percent from beyond the 3-point line.
West Virginia Wesleyan's (13-7, 8-4 MEC) Garrett Grantham finished the game 4-6 from the field en route to a team-high 15 points off the bench. Tanner McGrew added 12 points off the bench while Alexandar Djordjevic and T.J. Thompson each scored 10 points for the Bobcats.
Javon Moore led UVa-Wise (8-8, 5-7 MEC) with a game-high 20 points. The junior added six rebounds and four steals in the game while Matt Day and Charles George each scored 10 points to finish in double-figure scoring.
The Cavaliers will return to play on Thursday when the team starts a five-day, three-game road trip with a trip to Glenville State College. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. from Glenville, W.Va.
