STORY LINES
  • UVa-Wise will look to snap out of a recent funk; the Cavaliers have dropped five of the last six games.
  • Makenzie Cluesman leads UVa-Wise in scoring, 12.1 ppg, rebounds, 6.5 rpg, and assists 3.2 apg.
  • UVa-Wise continues to lead the Mountain East Conference in scoring defense.  Opponents are scoring just 66.6 points per game against the Cavs thus far this season.  Coach Kristin Kunzman's club also ranks second in the MEC in field goal percentage defense as teams are hitting just 38.3 percent of their shots against UVa-Wise.
  • The Cavs have four players averaging over 33 minutes a game.  Taylor Sandidge, Makenzie Cluesman, Kenzie Poindexter, and Katie Jo Lester all rank in the MEC's top 10 in minutes.
  • UVa-Wise is forcing over 16 turnovers a game by its opponets.  
  • Charleston enters the game winners of four of its last six games.  Most recently, the Golden Eagles posted a 76-65 road victory over Notre Dame College on Monday.
  • The Golden Eagles' are led by Chyress Lockhart.  Lockhart is averaging 17.2 points per game to rank sixth in the MEC in scoring.  She is also handing out 4.15 assists per game to rank ninth in the league in assists.
