STORY LINES

UVa-Wise will close out its non-conference schedule at LMU on Saturday. A victory by the Cavaliers would allow the team to finish the non-conference schedule undefeated.
UVa-Wise and Lincoln Memorial have not played since last December when the Cavs scored a one point overtime victory in the Prior Center.
Following Saturday's game, UVa-Wise won't play again until January 5th when the team plays at Wheeling Jesuit University.
Despite being separated by only 81 miles, LMU and UVa-Wise has only played three previous times in the last 10 seasons. The Cavs hold a 2-1 advantage in those games.
Senior Deon Boyce continues to lead the Mountain East Conference in rebounding at 14 rebounds per game.
The Cavs lead the MEC in scoring defense at 65.3 points per game and field goal percentage defense at 40.7 percent.
After a slow start from beyond the 3-point line, UVa-Wise has made 21 3-pointers in the past two games.
Freshman Jordan Smith had a career day against King University as he scored 10 points in 13 minutes of play. Smith also did not turn the ball over and was a perfect 4-4 from the foul line, including two made free throws in the game's final minute.
