BRISTOL, TN -- Tuesday, the Lady Cavaliers pulled out a 71-69 overtone win over the 4th ranked King College Lady Tornadoes.
The game was very close during the entire contest with King leading most of the way.
At halftime, Clinch Valley was trailing by a narrow 31-30 deficit.
The Lady Cavs fought back to a 59-59 tie with 2:01 remaining in regulation. The score stood 61-61 at the end of the second half.
Wanda Slone and Paula "Crickett" Adams led the Lady Cavs with 20 and 19 points respectively. Rachel Clay added 12 points.
Doris Roura led King with 24 points, nine rebounds, and four assists. Lyle Cruse added 16 points and rebounds far the Lady Tornadoes.
With the win, Clinch Valley improved their overall record to 16-7 and King dropped to 14-1.
