Baseball sophomore David Thomas was named Male Cavalier of the Month for his play in March. He led the team in batting average (.354), RBI (13) and on base percentage (.439) during March.
Thomas registered 17 hits in the 15 games the baseball program played during the month of March. The Goodview, Virginia, native had five multi-hit games, including a four-hit game in a win over Urbana University. The Staunton River High School graduate lined three doubles and knocked in six runs in addition to his four hits against the Blue Knights.

Overall, the designated hitter leads the team in batting average (.347), hits (34), RBI (25), on base percentage (.416) and total bases (43) this season. Through his team’s first 28 games, Thomas has three hitting streaks of at least four games, including a six-game hitting streak.
The Cavalier of the Month honor is the first of his career.
