The University of Virginia's College at Wise Athletics

A sophomore at the College, Smith holds the school record for the lowest round score of any UVa-Wise golfer since the school transitioned to NCAA Division II. The Strasburg native established the low round score when he carded a 68 on day two of the King University Invitational. Smith finished the event with a two-day score of 139 to finish runner-up in the tournament.

The golfer played his best golf of the tournament on the back nine of day two. Smith birdied four of the final seven holes he played as he shot a 31 on the back nine. The stretch included birdies on three consecutive holes. For his efforts, Smith was also named MEC Golfer of the Week this week.
